• Check the size skip you need. It may be better value to hire a skip that you know is too big rather than one that is too small. You may cram everything you need to get rid of into the smaller skip only to find that you have filled it to a dangerous level and the company will refuse to move it. You could then have to order a second skip to take the excess rubbish.

To work out if a mini skip will be the right size you can check the measurements. It measures 2’6” high x 5’ long by 4’ wide and will hold about 25 -35 bin bags, so if you think this is big enough you can order this size. Even though it is smaller than other skips there is still the need for a permit if you are going to leave it in the road.
